The plain-English agreement for using P1 Race Engineer — what you get, what your licence allows, how billing works, and the rules for creators.
01Agreement
These terms are between you and P1 Software LC, 3150 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305, USA (“P1”, “we”, “us”). They cover takep1.com and the P1 Race Engineer desktop app.
By downloading, installing or using P1 Race Engineer, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
02What the product is
P1 Race Engineer is a coaching tool for sim racing. It reads your game's telemetry on your own PC and gives you live and post-session feedback through an overlay and a voice engineer.
It is a driving aid, not a guarantee of results. We make no promise about lap times, race outcomes, ratings or rankings.
03Your account and licence
A licence key is granted to you personally and is not transferable. You may use it on the machines you personally race on.
You agree not to share, resell, publish or sublicense your key, and not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the licensing in the software.
We may suspend or revoke a key that is being shared, resold, or used to abuse the service.
04Free keys and giveaway keys
Keys handed out by creators, or issued as part of a promotion, are time-limited trials. They unlock the paid tier for a limited period and then stop working unless you subscribe. One key per person — claiming again with the same email returns the key you already have rather than issuing a second.
05Subscriptions and billing
Paid tiers are billed through Whop on a recurring basis at the price shown at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time through Whop; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Prices may change, and we will give notice before a change affects your renewal.
06Refunds
Payments are processed by Whop, and refund requests are handled through Whop's process. If something has gone wrong, email support@takep1.com and we will help sort it out.
07Creator programme
Creators receive a referral code, a personal key and a set of keys to give away. Where a commission applies, the rate shown on your partner dashboard governs, and commission is earned on referred subscriptions that are actually paid for and not refunded or charged back.
As a creator you agree to disclose the relationship where the law or a platform requires it, not to spam, not to bid on our brand terms in paid search, and not to misrepresent what the product does or promise results it does not deliver.
We may withhold commission on, or remove, referrals obtained through misleading claims, self-referral or fraud, and we may end a creator's participation at any time.
08Acceptable use
Do not use P1 Race Engineer to break the rules of any game, league, or competition you take part in. Many organisers restrict external assistance, and it is your responsibility to check the rules that apply to you before using the overlay or the engineer in a competitive session.
Do not use the service unlawfully, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
09Not affiliated with the games
P1 Race Engineer is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher, racing series or motorsport organisation. All game, team and series names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
10Our intellectual property
The software, the site, and their content remain ours. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the software — they do not transfer ownership of anything.
11Availability
We work to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and parts of the service depend on third parties (including the games themselves) that are outside our control.
12Disclaimer and liability
The software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13Termination
You may stop using the software at any time and cancel through Whop. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located there will have jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
15Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, give notice where appropriate. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept the updated terms.
