01Who we are

P1 Race Engineer is operated by P1 Software LC, 3150 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305, USA (“P1”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers takep1.com and the P1 Race Engineer desktop app for Windows.

It explains what the app and the site collect, why, and what you can do about it.

02What we collect

We keep collection to what the product actually needs to work:

• Account — your email address, used for passwordless sign-in and to attach your licence.
• Billing — subscriptions are processed by Whop. We never see or store your full card number.
• Licence keys — the keys issued to you, their tier, and whether they have been claimed.
• Session telemetry — while you are driving, the app sends session data to our servers so the engineer can coach you live: the game and track you are on, your car, lap and sector times, and driving inputs derived from the game's own telemetry feed.
• Referral clicks — if you arrive through a creator's link, we record the visit with a one-way salted hash of your IP address and browser string, plus your country and device type. That hash lets us count unique visitors without storing your IP.

03What stays on your machine

The app reads your game's telemetry locally on your own PC over its normal local network feed, and draws the overlay locally. We do not capture your screen, your microphone, your keystrokes outside the app, or any file on your computer.

04How we use it

To run the coaching, validate your licence, process your subscription, answer support, keep the service secure, and improve the product. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

05Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to operate the product:

• Whop — subscription billing and payments.
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website and API.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

06The creator programme

If you join as a creator, we store your name, email, referral code and the keys issued to you, and we show you counts of clicks, claims and conversions on your dashboard. If you claim a key through a creator's link, that creator can see that a claim happened and whether it later converted — they do not see your IP address.

07How long we keep it

We keep account, licence and billing records while your account is active and for as long as we must for tax and accounting purposes. Session telemetry is kept to provide and improve coaching. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

08Security

Data is encrypted in transit. We apply industry-standard safeguards and keep internal and diagnostic detail out of any public endpoint. No system is perfectly secure, but the architecture is deliberately local-first: the heavy telemetry processing and the overlay run on your own machine.

09Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data — email support@takep1.com and we will help. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA) you may have further rights, including objecting to certain processing.

10Cookies

The site uses a signed session cookie to keep you logged in, and remembers a referral code if you arrived through a creator link so the right creator gets credit. We do not run advertising trackers.

11Children

P1 Race Engineer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12Not affiliated with the games

P1 Race Engineer is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher or motorsport organisation, and all game and series names are the trademarks of their respective owners.

13Changes

We will update this page and the date above when this policy changes, and will flag material changes where appropriate.
